A new local community for everyone

Herfølge Bjergby will be a new local community for everyone who values community and a sustainable everyday life in scenic surroundings. Køge Municipality has just approved the comprehensive plan, which outlines the visions for the future district.

Innovative and value-creating

Herfølge Bjergby will be for residents of all ages and income groups – singles and families, young and old, small local businesses and institutions – a free school and a daycare center. Here there is room for people to have different opinions and at the same time have in common that they want to get involved in the community and live resource-consciously.

Cheap youth housing, tiny houses and attractive villas

The overall goal is that Herfølge Bjergby will have a wide range of housing options – from cheap youth housing and tiny houses to attractive villas. This also means that the district has a varied range of housing types for citizens of all life stages, elderly and young, as well as families in different constellations, in different forms of ownership and with different incomes.

In close contact with nature

In Herfølge Bjergby you live in a green district where you come into close contact with nature. Both the community, private gardens and urban nature in the neighboring areas create a green connection in the city, which helps to strengthen nature and diversity in the entire area.

Infrastructure

In Herfølge Bjergby there is a dense network of paths, so it is easy to take the bike and go to the station, shopping, school and sports. At the same time, it must be more difficult to choose the car. In order to make the residential areas peaceful, there is limited driving within the residential areas, just as parking is established as shared parking lots.

The project has been developed in collaboration with Vandkunsten.
